Waltz

An individual can assume disparate personas or alteregoes, depending on the circumstances. The image you have of yourself is dissimilar than the image others have about you. Thus, through an alchemy of stereotyped masks, emerges what might be called identity.

In an inverted and disintegrated world, fragments of human figures or paint layers play a role in the chaotic rhythm of opacity, transparency, flatness, relief, dark and bright.

The series of oil on canvas and pastel on paper collages has a tinge of biography and autobiography, inspired by photographs of the ruins and remnants from the "Golden Age" of Romanian communism.
