Belgium Health care
With the European Health Insurance Card you are covered in case of hospitalisation. For outpatient costs you need to advance the total sum of the cost at the doctor and at the pharmacy. You can subscribe with a Belgian health insurance fund if you would like to follow the same rules as for residents (you only have to pay 20 – 30% of the total sum of the medical cost).
If you don’t have an EHIC – card, you can enrol in a Belgian health insurance fund. More information: Check the attachements on the bottom of this page.
If you have more questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

Or you can visit the medical centre in the neighborhood. This is only for international students with a Belgian health insurance.

Note: Once you are registered at the Maison Médicale, there will be a proof period of 4 months. During this proofperiod, the Belgian health insurance will refund a part of the cost. After this period the doctor of Maison Médicale will registered you as <<forfait>> which means that you don’t have to pay anything for general practice, physiotherapy and nurse cares, but you will have to see exclusively doctors, physiotherapists and nurses from the Maison Médicale du Nord during your stay.
