Synergies in Musician Educators’ Practitioner Research is a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), organised by LUCA School of Arts (BE) in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (NL), Kunstuniversität Graz (AT) and MTU Cork School of Music (IE).

Synergies in Musician Educators’ Practitioner Research

This program is aimed exclusively at music education students at master level of the participating schools. It consists of one intensive week at campus Lemmens, Leuven (BE) and five online meetings. The intensive week of five days will be held from October 10th to 14th 2023. A stay of six nights will be covered the organisation. The five online meetings will take place in the period from September 2023 to March 2024. Participants will be granted with three ECTS credits.

The focus is on practitioner research in music education and on collaborative learning in research activities. Participants will work on their own master research projects. During all sorts of learning and teaching activities, they develop their skills in how to undertake research, how to present and communicate about their projects and how to give and receive feedback. The BIP offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain experience and skills in how to collaborate in research activities.
