STATE OF PAINTING

Talks, lezingen en congressen

Together with the Painting department and the research cluster Art, Imagination and Language, Isolde, Robin, and Ritsart cordially invite you to STATE OF PAINTING, a new initiative that focuses on contemporary painting.

On Tuesday 10 MarchAnn Demeester, director of the Kunsthaus Zürich, will engage in a conversation with the internationally renowned artist Michael Armitage. Starting from his practice as a painter, they will reflect on the state of the medium today: what does painting still mean? What can or does it want to be? And which questions should we (re)ask it?
