Andrea Alexandridis (1995°, Genk, Belgium) is a female film director. At a young age she started with an education in audio-visual arts. Later she continued her interest for film at the film school LUCA school of Arts Brussels where she graduated both her masters and bachelorstudies in audio-visual arts with distinction. During her studies she also obtained her degree in theatre and film FX makeup.
MUSHKILA searches for shared affinities between female asylum seekers coming from different cultures and having no language in common. More specifically, it portrays a women quarter in a refugee centre. A place where without any real home nor blood ties a family takes shape, in whatever form. (23 min.)
