Isolde Vanhee lectures on Film, Painting, Art Criticism and Audiovisual culture at LUCA - Sint-Lucas, Visual Arts Department in Ghent. She has a Master's Degree in Art History and holds a PhD in Communication Sciences. In November 2010, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis on the representation of the family in American gangster films. From 2001 to 2005, she was a staff member of the Museum of Contemporary Art (SMAK) in Ghent. She is a chief editor of Rekto:Verso magazine and Chair of the Board of Art Cinema OFFoff. She has published in various magazines on both film, painting, and the relationship between cinema and the fine arts.
