La grande horizontale

La grande horizontale (The Great Horizontal) was once used as an honorary title for prostitutes back in a time when they were still muses, not just women to be looked upon. Following the traces of a dream, this filmic essay travels through the rooms of an obscure, yet enlightened brothel in Brussels. Starting from her impression of a French late 19th century painting of a seemingly asleep prostitute, the narrator tries to capture both the beauty and sadness of this profession while wondering about her own position as a woman.
