** Additional study costs are a flat-rate fee charged to all students each academic year. This shared contribution helps to cover LUCA’s extensive artistic facilities and services, such as studios, workshops, lending services, libraries, ICT infrastructure and specialised software.

 

The tuition fee consists of a fixed part (which every student pays at registration) and a variable part (per registered credit). The total amount of the tuition fee is determined by

  • the type of study contract under which you are registered
  • the number of credits for which you are registered
  • the number of registrations
  • your personal statute (scholarship student, non-scholarship student, …)
  • your nationality
  • the credits on your learning account. 

Note: If you are coming to LUCA as an exchange student, you do not pay any tuition fees. You will, however, have to pay for your own art materials, photocopies, etc.

Example for the academic year 2025-2026:

 

  • You are an EEA student and you follow a Master in Visual Arts (60 ECTS). You pay €1.457 in TOTAL

(= tuition fee consisting of € 299 fixed part + (€ 14,30*60 ECTS=) € 858 variable part + € 300 additional study costs)

 

  • You are a non-EEA student and follow an individual study programma in the Master in Music, consisting of 54 ECTS credits. You pay € 7.462,40 in TOTAL

(= tuition fee consisting of € 299 fixed part + (€ 127,10*54 ECTS=) € 6.863,4 variable part + € 300 additional study costs)

 

Example for the academic year 2026-2027:

 

  • You are an EEA student and you follow a Master in Visual Arts (60 ECTS). You pay €1.511,40 in TOTAL

(= tuition fee consisting of € 305,40 fixed part + (€ 14,60*60 ECTS=) € 876 variable part + € 330 additional study costs)

 

  • You are a non-EEA student and follow an individual study programma in the Master in Audiovisual Arts, consisting of 54 ECTS credits. You pay € 9.112,20 in TOTAL
