Following a course unit at LUCA as a student of Association KU Leuven.
If you already follow a program at Ku Leuven or another association partner (ODISEE, Thomas More, UCLL or Vives), then you can also follow a course unit at LUCA with your (educational) program. This is possible without additional costs.
Which course units can you choose?
In LUCA’s study guide, you can choose all courses that are marked with [ASSOC]. These are mainly master electives, but e.g. also introduction to art education.
Info session master electives – 16 September 2024 6 pm ONLINE
On 16 September we present all master electives to LUCA students and others. Everyone is welcome. You can take up these courses in your LUCA-ISP as of 18 September. Do not wait too long to do this as places are limited. (First come, first serve)
Attention: To take up a chosen course in your LUCA-ISP on 18 September, you must register on time as an interuniversity student. Read below which steps you must follow.
When do you qualify?

You are registered at an institution of the Association Ku Leuven for a diploma or an exam contract;

The course unit is an integral part of your program;

Your own institution must agree. You can prove this by providing a certificate or a confirmation email with the name of the LUCA Course you want to follow.
Exceptions:

In case you follow an educational program, you do not need to submit an agreement, only a certificate of enrollment. Under EDU-cooperation, a few OPO’s have been opened. In the LUCA study guide, they can be found by searching [ASSOC][EDU].
How do you operate?

Register here as an interuniversity student. Follow the steps in our online registration application.

Within the registration application, you indicate that you have “already been a student in higher education” and you choose “interuniversity” as program.

Use the search term 'educational' if, for example, you want to follow 'Introduction to Arts Education' at LUCA and choose your preferred campus.

If you want to take a master's elective, please consult the LUCA ECTS sheet in advance to find out which program and campus you need to register for. For example: Introduction to Curatorial Studies, choose location 'Brussels' and program 'fine arts'.

In the second to last step, upload your proof of enrollment and any other admission documents.

Click forward and confirm your online registration on the final screen.

As soon as we have processed your registration, you will receive two automatic emails. You may ignore the activation email if you are already studying in the KU Leuven association. Through the account of your home institution, you will automatically have access to KU Loket and your initial LUCA-ISP.
