March 2027 marks exactly 300 years since the first performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s St Matthew Passion. To commemorate this special anniversary, LUCA School of Arts, Campus Lemmens brings this monumental work to life once again. The St Matthew Passion is widely regarded as one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of music and continues to captivate audiences three centuries after its creation. Through a rich combination of choral movements, arias, and orchestral music, Bach tells the Passion story with remarkable depth and emotional power. This performance offers the opportunity to experience a work that has inspired generations of listeners for 300 years.
