Singer? Let your talent shine at LUCA School of Arts

Voice

LUCA Conservatory of Music is an internationally oriented music conservatory in Belgium, offering high-level bachelor’s and master’s programs to international students from around the world. With a tradition dating back to 1879 as the former Lemmensinstituut, LUCA is one of the leading conservatories in Belgium for classical music and composition.

Students can specialize in opera and lied repertoire, with extensive opportunities for live performances.

Concerts & events

Our Classical Vocal Programme offers a comprehensive and specialised training designed for aspiring professional singers. Alongside individual voice lessons, all students follow Singer’s Toolbox, a dedicated course that develops essential complementary skills. Through modules in language and diction (Italian, German, French, English and introduction to Russian), theatre training (movement, acting and stage presence), career development (auditions, CV, professional field) and repertoire studies (opera, art song and vocal styles), students become versatile, informed and confident performers.

This integrated approach ensures that each singer grows not only vocally, but also artistically and professionally. In addition, every year students have the opportunity to participate in a fully staged opera production, gaining invaluable experience on stage.

Furthermore, our structural collaboration with the International Opera Academy Flanders strengthens our Master’s programme, adding even more specialised coaching in languages, auditions and stage performance.

Our programme prepares singers for the real demands of the classical music world, shaping complete, expressive and autonomous vocal artists ready for an international career.

Admission Test

We hold three admission tests each year, in March, July, and September. For specific dates, click here. The test includes a solfege exam and an instrumental performance exam (full details can be found here). International candidates have the option to submit a one-take video of their program.
