School of Lovecraft

Numerous challenges remain in ensuring the quality of sexual and reproductive health, particularly for young women in disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

As part of the Arco-iris I Vutomi (Living in the rainbow) under the supervision of LAMBDA association, the project explores how art can reveal conversations about sexual reproduction and health in vulnerable neighbourhoods by identifying areas where changes in thinking occur and addressing them in the ‘School of Lovecraft’.

The school of lovecraft will function as both a physical and a social infrastructure, temporarily activating a space of scholè: a safe environment where external expectations and pressures surrounding sexual reproduction, intimacy and love are suspended, allowing for open discussion and reflection. The challenge lies in designing innovative methods of gathering, constructing, and sharing knowledge through artistic formats. The goal is to create “courses” that disrupt dominant expectations on sexual reproduction and make them fluid.

The exploration and the design of this temporary school of lovecraft, including both its infrastructure and educational content, will be developed in close collaboration with local, cultural and social partners, making it an inclusive commoning affair.
