Joep Vossebeld

  • Artist and curator Joep Vossebeld (1989) has a sharp eye for the inevitable absurdity, tragedy and irony of our everyday lives. He translates what he sees and experiences into installations, videos and drawings. These may be shown separately, or in changeable combinations without a loss of the penetrating lightness of observation. On the basis of this work, he also produces meticulously compiled books with texts and fragments of his writing. Most of his works and exhibitions are made in collaboration with other artists and artists groups.
  • Joep Vossebeld currently works as curator for Bonnefanten Museum Maastricht and B32 Artspace. He is teaching at Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts, Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts and Kunstacademie Tongeren. He studied at Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts, Sint-Lukas Brussels and Jan van Eyck Academie.

DIP talks

DIP stands for 'Dive into Practice'. Within the 'DIP Talk' format each department of Visual Arts Sint-Lukas Brussels yearly invites 3 recently graduated alumni to talk about their developing practice. The DIP talks are informal, take place in the studio and are followed by drinks.
