Location: The entry hall of LUCA School of Arts, Campus Sint-Lukas Brussel, Paleizenstraat 70, Brussel.
In the exhibition “.expo”, 22 students from 3Ba are showing for the first time what they have been working on for the past two and a half years. They are the results of various design assignments during their Media & Information Design course around the most diverse topics: from spinning atoms to their own luxury problems, from communication with aliens to burned libraries. Old masters and artificial intelligence, young people and the sextortion epidemic, the energy crisis and climate change ... All relevant topics, but often very complex to explain. Our students try to communicate about them in a clear and haunting way by using all kinds of visual means, materials and techniques. Both analog media - a book, poster or magazine - and the latest technologies - computer code, digital imaging techniques, AI or spatial computing - are addressed. Always with one goal: to make stories attractive and compelling, to clarify ideas at a glance, to make complex issues crystal clear in just a few images. And to make people curious.
